David said he had checked the shed and reported at the September board meeting that there were no nets. Mike and David will again check the shed for nets and score tenders. Ruth reported that replacement containers for used tennis balls are needed on the courts. David will buy new containers. It was also noted that the containers are not being emptied. Pam Campbell and Carole Washburn will meet with new female members. Jeanine will include the names and telephone numbers of the volunteers for contacting new members on the welcome letter in the kiosks. Ruth reported that there were no applications for QCTC in the kiosk at Madera Clubhouse. Jeanine will refill the slot with applications and welcome letters.
It is important that all organizers reserve courts on ‘Reserve My Court’ and release those not needed.
Ruth and Rosie will meet with the Social Committee to verify that tennis socials are held in October, November, February, and May. Tennis socials are held at the tennis courts. The social committee is considering sponsoring a tennis clinic for members. The Social Committee should be comprised with full-time residents as well as snowbirds to cover the October and May socials.
Rosie received an email from Marilyn Wrucke stating that Brandy Finley, an attorney for Neighbors for Justice will be the speaker at the Ladies Tennis Christmas Luncheon on December 4, 2017, at the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom.
